Dedicated teaching that empowers undergraduate and post graduate students to formulate mathematical and statistical problems, communicate the solutions and their significance.

The department started functioning right from the inception of the college in 1961 with degree in mathematics and was upgraded as a postgraduate department in 1966. Currently, there are 7 permanent faculties and a guest faculty.
